Erik Sheppard and his associates have launched the Voice Talent Production site. Click HERE.
A lot of work has gone into the back-end of this enterprise, and I find myself extremely honored to be the company of the other talent here.
Please take a moment to look around, and pass the word on to those who matter (ahem: clients) that this is the place to look first!

Oh….BTW, two prominent VA talents are in Vegas this week, and if I’m lucky, I’ll be able to run into both of them: Chris Flockton, a NYC-based British voice, and Ron Knight of Knight Mediacom. ‘LOVE the way Vegas attracts all the right people!
Two of the most prolific international VO personalities got together the other day, and the bonafide result for you and me is a very enriching interview of Bodalgo’s founder Armin Hierstetter.
Mahmoud Taji, of The Voiceemporium, provided the interview and the link below, AND the following generous offer:
Armin is offering my readers 1 month free Premium membership for anyone who cites me (Mahmoud Taji) or Taji's Voice Emporium as a referral.
Taji has also included a podcast of the interview for those interested, and says if you already have a free account at Bodalgo, and would like to take advanatage of this offer, just tell Taji, and he’ll contact Armin directly to see what can be done.
HERE is the link to the article/interview.

This tip from Voices.com’s always-helpful VOX DAILY Blog.
The amazing story involves grinding up a hornet with some other mystery substances, but the author claims it absolutely works…so proceed at your own caution.

Ace European voice actor Paul Strikwerda offers an incisive analysis of why you may be experiencing a low audition/job conversion rate with the online pay-to-play sites.
You can see his reasoning on his blog “Double Dutch” HERE.
Good stuff, Paul!

Most VO subscription sites that I’m familiar with — certainly the most popular ones — ask you to pay a fee to be listed as a voice talent.
Radio Voices123, instead, asks you to submit to a qualifying process, and if you pass — you’re in — for free, at which time you can post your demos, flesh-out your profile and be selected by talent-seekers.
Their website explains that the "…the radio voices team will review your audition…" but doesn’t mention who that is, or what exactly their standards are, other than to say:
"It must be read Dry and not watermarked! It must be your own work and not someone else’s. Watch for deliberate spelling mistakes and inquire on Google for pronunciations of difficult words. You’re required to read all three scripts! And record it in mono, with a sample rate of 44100 – 16-bit. Be sure to save your (File) as 128kbps. Then mail it to [email protected] along with your showcase of demo’s. Please be aware that we will fail you on the basics – I.e. Leaving long breaths, uncut, noise floor. etc…."
‘Not sure exactly what "showcase of demos" means…but I guess you can send any of your demos you want, along with this audition.
RadioVoices123′s founder and CEO is a veteran voice-actor from Ireland: Keith Farrell, and this site is well-designed, full-featured, and very clean to the eye. It has an accompanying blog, a forum, and several current members (who have apparently passed muster) who are recognized professionals and friends/acquaintances of mine.
I initially found this site on referral from SaVoa, because a discussion had begun on RV123 about what value the SaVoa’s certification process had over RV123′s process, when RV123′s certification was free, and SaVoa’s was not — when RV123′s return was real money in the form of possible jobs, and SaVoa’s return was mostly a shield, and maybe some pride of membership.
If you look HERE, you’ll see the nuts ‘n’ bolts of that discussion. I chimed in, and so did other VO people whom I greatly respect.
Check it out…I’ve registered, but not submitted my qualifying audition yet.
SaVoa is not sitting still these days, though…and and an upcoming blog will explain a little more of what’s stirring over there.

Steven Lowell, the public relations manager for Voice123 DM’d me on Twitter today.
Here’s the meat of his message: "I am trying to help set up a workshop in NYC for Stevie Vallance (animation coach). Any studios come to mind that hold 16 people?"
I’m not all that familiar with NY studios, but suggested David Goldberg’s Edge Studio.
Anybody with a suggestion, might want to e-mail Steve.

Stephanie Ciccarelli of Voices.com sent me a notice about some new information survey results published by CEO David Ciccarelli and Product Manager Laurynda Pasma.
This is pretty compelling stuff, easily perused in a short read…lots of pie-charts, and they asked all the right questions.
Click HERE to see the results…you really can’t afford not to.

My thanks to "Joe Actor" (Joe Thomas) for pointing me to some fresh information coming out concerning a new online subscription site for voice actors: VoicePunch.
On Julie Williams' online voiceover forum site you'll see a thread that raises some serious questions.
I, too, rec'd an e-mail from "Chris Kellog" to do a link exchange with the new VoicePunch. I never responded. Joe Actor is seeking to have his unapproved link to the VoicePunch site removed.
