‘Rather unfortunate that on the day of the launch of Google’s newest “WoW” product – Google WAVE — thousands of South Pacific Islanders are struggling to recover from a massive Tsunami generated by an 8.3 magnitude underwater earthquake. I don’t think Google is THAT self-serving…nor are they capable of such tectonic-plate machinations.
Only 100,000 lucky (unlucky?) souls will get the chance to try this Beta release beginning today. Twitter is aflutter with people trolling about for an invitation. ‘Not likely that anyone who was actually picked would give up their chosen status, though.
Google is variously touted as the next-generation communication tool – a mashup of email, real-time IM’s, pictures, and threads, all in a one-interface-does-all program.
Time will tell, I suppose…and uh…I don’t suppose…er….ah… you have an invitation you’d like to fork over, do ya?
