Welcome to my 3rd-Gen Blog…same great content!

BLOG

.

Fresh-baked pies, new cars, and refurbished blogs.

All-American favorites.

So, whadya think?

My amazingly-talented friend Brett Bumeter has ported over all of the great content and resources of my previous TypePad blog, reorganized it, restructured it, gave it a face-lift, added new SEO values, and God-knows-what-else to make this new blog appear.

Visit his SOFTDUIT website HERE.  Aside from being a techno-wiz…he’s just a great guy and has reasonable rates.

Although I loved my TypePad blog home, WordPress has the advantage of being a favorite son of Google – for what reason, no on seems to know for sure.  But, I’m going on faith that lots of really smart people know what they’re talking about when they say WordPress is the place to be fo advanced blogging.

There are a few cosmetic changes yet to be finished, so visit again soon for the final product. I’d say we’re about 95% done….well, BRETT is about 95% done.  I just have to NOT screw things up from here on out.

Thanks to you, my loyal visitors for urging me on to continued blogging.

Congrats on the new look Dave! I always had a little trouble with the load-time on the old one but this just popped right up.

  2. Great new look, Dave! The design gels well with your main site, and it’s much cleaner overall. I’m especially happy that you chose to omit those little page-previews popping up on links to other pages. The rare times that I’ve come directly to the blog to read an entry, those critters have felt like more of an annoyance than a benefit.

Thanks, Justin…yeah, I tend to load up stuff on my computer too…there’s just so much good “stuff” out there! But after a while it just gets clogged. It was time.

  3. Hi, Dave! AWESOME! I love the new, cleaner look of your blog, and I know it will serve you well. Like James, I also experienced faster load time. I really like that it’s easy to find the recent posts and archives.

Changing our web sites and writing blog entries can require time, money, and energy. Yours have been put to good use with the revamped look of your blog and with the excellent content you always post. Congratulations!

    Dave,

I do like it, I tend to have ADD or OCP or HEY LOOK THERE’S A SQUIREL!

lot of great information here.. now, I have to start digging. And that’s a lot of tags!

  8. Looking good! And, yes it’s fast to load — always a strong point in this day of short attention spans!

    Cheers…keep up the excellent work.

I give all the credit to Brett…he not only did a great job on the re-design…he did a great job convincing me it was the right thing to do.

Smashingly spanky, Dave. The new look is like sweet icing on a delicious cake of content. Hey, I’d still read your blog even if it was scratched on the sidewalk with chalk.

Thanks for keepin’ on, keepin’ on.
