This is turning into an almost-daily thing: finding new technologies that are using the word "voice" in their product or service description.
I'm not sure it's a huge threat to voiceactors (yet), but it further waters down the effectiveness of the word "voice" as a search keyword, and in this case, by the very company that OWNS the websearch world: Google.
Click HERE to read how "Google Voice" plans to make available written transcripts of your voice-mail through its recent acquisition of Grand Central's functionality.
THIS article gives a bit more objective report of the same story…and then, THIS article, also published by PC World offers a slightly more ominous view.
Finally, click HERE to see a point-of-view that almost makes the corporation that promised to "do no evil" look pretty evil.
Don't even get me started about Google's recently-announced plan for targeted advertising…something it said it would never do.
