Unbelievable, the incredible WATERFALL of spam, phishing, and outright scams that are sent by e-mail everyday! Luckily popular e-mail programs like G-mail, AOLmail, and even MS Outlook are getting better at weeding them out.
BUT, every once in a while, you should go through the items your spam-mail folder. You'll end up deleting 99.99999% of them, but ocassionally, I'll bet you'll find one from a trusted friend, a prospect, or an acquaintance in voice-over land that shouldn't be there.
It's not a far reach to think a wayward job offer might land there if you've never rec'd mail from that person before.
With most e-mail programs, right-clicking (for PC users) on the mail line brings up a menu that lets you select this e-mail as "OK" for receiving in your regular mailbox.

Dave,
Thanks for this reminder. It happened to me just the other day. An email from a friend that for some truly odd reason got stuck in my spam folder. Thankfully I found it because I do just what you suggested and scan through that folder every couple of weeks, just to be sure.
Be well,
Bob
